By Car
Given its central position, Bologna is well connected by the main highways with every part of Italy and the neighbouring countries.
From North the main highways are: the A1, also known as Autostrada del Sole, that connects Bologna with Milan and Florence and, joining the A22, with Austria and Germany; the A13, coming from Trieste, Udine, Venice, Padova and Ferrara.
From South the A1 connects Rome to Bologna, whereas from East the A14 connects Bologna to Ancona and Bari.
By Train
Bologna is the most important railway station in Italy. Thanks to this privileged position it enjoys the advantages of every upgrade before the others. By Plane
Guglielmo Marconi International Airport (Information Desk tel. +39 051 6479615) guarantees quick transfers for passengers and goods to the main Italian locations and big European cities, some of which host intercontinental airports. Almost weekly charter flights connect Bologna with many other European, African and Middle Eastern destinations. It is possible to reach the train station from the airport thanks to the SHUTTLE service.
